Emmanuel Villanis (born in 1858, died in 1914). Originally from Lille, France, and of Italian origin, the artist studied in Turin, at the Accademia Albertina, with master sculptor Odoardo Tabacchi, before settling in Paris in 1885. Prolific producer of busts during Throughout his career, he has received international recognition for his work. He had a penchant for producing bronzes (especially busts) of beautiful young women, mainly in the Art Nouveau style. During his lifetime, he exhibited extensively in Paris, Milan, Chicago, New York and Vienna.
