Description
Louis XV style fireplace in arabescato marble, mid-19th century period. In the center the lintel is carved with a large shell with tables at each end. The canted jambs are curved with a shell placed in a reserve, three roughened grooves. The sides have a hollow molding. Widely thick scrolled top.
Important model from a residence in Brittany.
Note an old restoration on the top and the jamb on the right (see photo).
